Lynne

Lynne is a native Californian, has 2 grown children and 2 yellow Labradors who have filled the empty nest. Her husband has recently retired and they are building a new home in Arcata. Lynne has run her “HomeTown Quilting” business since 2000 and has earned herself a reputation in the Bay Area as a meticulous quilter with a wonderful eye for quilting design. She is most known for her traditional feather quilting and occasional trapunto. She specializes in bringing hand and machine quilting techniques to the longarm and matching the quilting to the style of the quilt top. She annually pursues classes which will renew, reinforce and introduce style and technique to her skills. Her efforts have been rewarded with ribbon awards at local quilt shows and publications in book chapters and galleries. She will be resuming her business as soon as she organizes the new house and warms up the quilting machine with the stack of waiting quilt tops. In the mean time she is offering classes with an emphasis on learning new techniques. She is happy to mentor any newbies. You can reach her by email: sumquilt@live.com
