Quilting RetreatsFall Quilting Retreat Oct. 6, 7, 8, 2023, in picturesque Loleta, in the heart of the Eel River Valley on the Northern California Coast!
Join us in October of 2023 and embark on a quilting adventure of epic proportions! Enjoy three fun filled days relaxing, making new friends, fun and exciting games, and of course, sewing! We have designed an original Scottie Dog Quilts gorgeous pattern, or you can bring your own project to work on. Your retreat fee of $190 includes your own spacious sewing workstation for 3 days, pattern, instruction, welcome gift, a chance at some wonderful door prizes, daily beverage service, and a delicious group dinner on Saturday night and game. You can stay in your own comfy bed at home, or lodging in the hotel is available at a discounted rate but must be booked by 9/22. You can book lodging by calling 800 761-2327 and mentioning rate SDQ1023. New this season: Make it a 4 day retreat by adding Thursday as a no host sewing day! Come early and spend the day sewing with friends! The $40 fee will secure your sewing station on Thursday and includes all day beverage service and gratuities. Airport transportation from the McKinleyville airport (ACV) can be arranged as well for a small fee.
The retreat is held in the Grand Ballroom at the Bear River Resort in Loleta, CA. At the hotel, you will enjoy stunning views of The Eel River Valley, as it stretches out to the Pacific Ocean. Step out of the ballroom to enjoy live music on Friday and Saturday night, take a dip in the pool or hot tub while enjoying the view, or sew the night away with all your new quilting friends. The weekend is yours to do as you like! The retreat opens at 10 am Friday and continues until 5 pm Sunday. Spend Friday sewing on your own project or cutting out; Retreat quilt instruction begins after dinner. Space for the retreat is limited and space will sell out; a $50 dollar deposit will hold your spot. Email us at scottiedogquilts@aol.com or call Liz at 707 498-0797 for more information. Deposit is non-refundable. The balance is due 60 days before the retreat and refunds will be given only if we can fill your spot. Your full retreat packet, including materials lists and instructions is available beginning 8/20, and will be sent when your balance is paid in full. To hold your spot, select the deposit below and then add to cart. You will receive an invoice for the balance that will be due 60 days before the event. The invoice can be paid in full or you make payments in any increment you wish, the choice is yours.
